Before construction starts on Interstate 83’s Exit 4 in Shrewsbury, the public will have an opportunity to talk with project personnel on Wednesday, March 30.
An open house, to be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Shrewsbury Volunteer Fire Company, will include maps and aerial photos of the proposed improvements.
Improvements include reconstruction of the bridge that carries I-83 over Route 851, that will accommodate additional lanes on Route 851. I-83 northbound and southbound on and off interchange ramps will also be lengthened. Overall traffic movement is expected to improve.
In the meantime, the public can find more information on the project, proposed to start in spring 2018, here.
Shrewsbury Volunteer Fire Company is at 21 W. Forrest Ave., Shrewsbury.
